Awarded 2014-2015 Chapter Of the Year!!
Welcome to Metuchen USY, Hagalil Chapter of the Year in 2012 and in 2015. We are a Jewish youth group affiliated with the Conservative Movement for grades 9-12 that centers out of Congregation Neve Shalom in Metuchen.
Metuchen USY holds events regularly that range from holiday parties to crazy competitions to bowling and laser-tag trips. All of our events center around the values of social action, tikkun olam (repairing the world), religion, education, and Israel awareness.
Metuchen USY is very active in Hagalil, the northern New Jersey region of United Synagogue Youth. Check out their website here. Our chapter sends a respectable number of delegates to regional conventions, kinnusim, and events and many Metuchen USYers are active leaders in the region.
USY is an excellent opportunity to meet Jewish teens, not only from the area but from New Jersey and the rest of the country as well. The International branch of USY holds summer programs like USY on Wheels and USY Pilgrimage that take USYers from across the country to Israel and across the U.S. More information can be found here.
